This is brilliant! As I understand it, he'd previously pulled the same trick when JP gave mass at Aintree racecourse in (I think) 1981. Yes, that's right, Ian went all the way to Liverpool in order to stand with his back to the Pope yelling 'do not let me look upon this Antichrist!' (quote) Well, Ian, there would have been an easier way out of that particular encounter.
